Mit dem Titel „Toy of the Year 2020“ darf sich MGA Entertainments „L.O.L. Surprise!“ künftig schmücken. Den „People's Choice“-Award erhielt hingegen „Rainbocorns Ultimate Sequin Surprise Series 2“ von Zuru.

Außerdem wurden während der Zeremonie drei Branchengrößen in die „Toy Industry Hall of Fame“ aufgenommen: Thomas Chan (Gründer & CEO von Playmates Toys), Thomas G. Murdough Jr., (Gründer Little Tikes, Step2 und Simplay3) und der verstorbene Harry Kislevitz (Gründer Colorforms Corporation).
